Heavy duty trailer ramps for loading equipment onto flatbed, step deck and lowboy trailers. Capacity is the maximum weight per axle. Check the axle weights of the equipment you load, not just its total weight.
Ramp Hardware and Accessories
- Connection: skid seat for the pin-end connection to the trailer, 20 inch and 36 inch pin rods, hitch pin clips, zinc plated hitch pins and lynch pin clips.
- Carrying under the trailer: single and double ramp hangers (left and right), double hangers with 4 × 4 holder, stand hanger, hanging support stand (adjustable 18″ to 24″) and long and short hanger keepers.
- Leveling: left and right stakes (8 heights available) and lumber clips to use the ramps as load levelers.
Using Ramps as Load Levelers
With the optional stakes, the heavy duty ramps convert to load levelers. Three lumber clips per ramp are required when the ramps are used this way. The 8 ft ramp set already includes four stakes and six lumber clips.
Loading Safely
Make sure every pin and clip is in place before anything rolls onto the ramps, keep the ramps square to the trailer, and stay within the per-axle rating. Once the equipment is on the deck, secure it before moving: machinery of 10,000 lb or more needs at least four tie-downs under 49 CFR 393.130. How are the ramp capacities rated?
By maximum weight per axle. The 8 ft heavy duty ramp is rated at 23,500 lb per axle and the 10 ft heavy duty ramp at 20,000 lb per axle.
How do the ramps attach to the trailer?
The ramps have pin ends that connect to the trailer through skid seats, which are sold separately and included in the ramp sets. Pin rods and hitch pins hold the connection.
What comes in the 8 ft ramp set?
Four 8 ft ramps, two hanging support stands, four double ramp hangers, two stand hangers, four skid seats, four stakes, six lumber clips and a complete bolt kit for your trailer.
Can the ramps be used as load levelers?
